What we collect

When you first visit, we set a cookie called shrg_vid on your browser. It holds a random identifier and nothing else — no name, no email, nothing that identifies you personally. It lets us recognise the same browser on a later visit so your saved searches are still there and so we can tell returning visitors from new ones.

As you use the site we record which listings you view, which searches you run, and anything you save. If you create an account, we hold the name and email address you give us.

Why

To show you relevant property, to let you save searches and set alerts, and so that a member of the firm can follow up on an enquiry.

What happens when you register

When you create an account, the activity already recorded against your browser is connected to you — including the browsing you did before you registered. In practice that means a member of the firm can see which properties you looked at and what you searched for, going back to your first visit.

We think that is the honest thing to say plainly rather than bury. It is how we can respond to an enquiry with something useful instead of asking you to repeat yourself.

Who else sees it

Account details and that activity are sent to Follow Up Boss, the customer-relationship system the firm uses to manage enquiries, so that a real person can follow up. Follow Up Boss is owned by Zillow Group. We don't send your information anywhere else.

What we don't do

We don't sell your information. We don't use third-party advertising trackers on this site. We don't try to identify you across devices unless you sign in — if you browse on a phone and later on a laptop, those are separate to us until the same account signs in on both.

Listing information

Property data is provided under licence by the Baldwin County Association of REALTORS® and is subject to its display rules. Listings withdrawn from syndication by a seller are not shown.

Deleting your information

Write to info@myshrg.com and ask. We'll delete your account, the activity recorded against it, and the record held in Follow Up Boss. You can also ask what we hold without deleting it.
