Information we collect

When you first visit the Site, we set a cookie called shrg_vid in your browser. It holds a randomly generated identifier and nothing else — no name, no email address, no information that identifies you personally on its own. It lets us recognize the same browser on a later visit, so a saved search is still there when you come back and so we can distinguish returning visitors from new ones. It is set for approximately 400 days and is not accessible to any script other than ours.

As you use the Site, we record which listings you view, which searches you run, and anything you save or set an alert for, associated with that cookie identifier.

If you create an account, we collect the name and email address you provide, and any information you submit through a contact or inquiry form.

How we use this information

We use the information above to operate the Site's search and saved-search features, to respond to inquiries, and so that a member of the firm can follow up on your activity when you register or contact us. We do not use it to train or fine-tune any machine-learning model.

What happens when you register

When you create an account, the browsing activity already recorded against your browser's cookie identifier is linked to your account — including activity from before you registered. In practice, this means a member of the firm can see which properties you looked at and what you searched for, going back to your first visit to the Site, once you create an account or submit an inquiry.

Who we share information with

Account details and the activity described above are sent to Follow Up Boss, a customer-relationship management platform owned by Zillow Group, which the firm uses to manage inquiries. We share information with Follow Up Boss only for this purpose. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with any other third party for their own marketing or advertising use.

What we don't do

We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the Site. We do not attempt to identify or link your activity across devices unless you sign in on both — if you browse on a phone and later on a laptop without signing in, those sessions remain separate to us.

Listing information

Property listing data displayed on the Site is provided under license by the Baldwin County Association of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service and is subject to its display rules, described in full alongside listing search results. Listings a seller has withdrawn from syndication are not shown.

Retention and security

Account and activity data is stored in a database we operate and is retained until you ask us to delete it, as described below. Backups are encrypted at rest and access to production systems is limited to those who operate the Site on the firm's behalf.

Your choices

Write to info@myshrg.com to ask what information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. On a deletion request, we delete your account, the browsing activity recorded against it, and the corresponding record in Follow Up Boss. Deleting your account does not affect messages you sent us directly by email.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we collect, use or share information, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, note the change on this page.
